When hurricane Ivan hit Larry’s hometown of Pensacola, FL, the damage and devastation was beyond belief.  Larry was instrumental in raising thousands of dollars for the Rebuild Northwest Florida foundation.  All it took from Larry was a phone call to enlist the help of his good friends Willie Nelson and Kenny Rogers.  Both performed concerts for the charity and raised almost a half million dollars for the cause.  An up-and-coming new artist, Will Hedgecock, also performed to a standing room only crowd.   Larry was recognized by a local TV station as an “Angel In Our Midst” for his efforts.
